Prerequisites: Grades 10 - 12
Each student must have completed Photo 1 with a C or better. Students are expected to submit an entry portfolio that demonstrates their ability to communicate visually using photography. The teacher will determine whether or not each student is ready for photo 2 based on individual meetings.
Photography 2
Students will explore advanced equipment and techniques, which include working with several types of photographic equipment. This class focuses more each student’s individual progress. Students are expected to create a portfolio of prints for an exhibition as well as several computer presentations that incorporate their own images. This course fulfills the Visual/Performing Arts requirement for UC/CSU.
Academic Integrity
Plagiarism is the act of passing off someone else’s work of ideas as your own and will NOT be tolerated. Assignments may be check using www.turnitin.com by students or by teacher. Any plagiarized assignments will result in a zero and you will not be able to make it up. Virtual Office Hours
Our Photo 2 class will be meeting on Zoom at least one time per week where you can ask the teacher questions about the assignments or feedback. These Zoom meetings will review content and provide an opportunity to connect with the class. Scheduled Zoom meeting links will be posted on the School Loop website and class calendar. Participation points will be given for attending Zoom meetings, these points will not negatively affect your grade, unless otherwise stated. The times and days are subject to change so check for updates on this every week. Advisory period is a chance for you to ask questions about any assignment and will be held on Wednesday at 12:50 pm to 1:30 pm. I can also be available by appointment only Monday at 2:30 pm to 4 pm, Wednesday 1:30 pm to 4 pm, and Friday at 2:30 pm 4:00. To make an appointment please email me at [email protected] and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Completed (Your work has been turned in and will be scored based on a rubric or scoring guide)
M = missing
NP = No participation (if you didn’t turn in something for online work, then it will not be marked as a zero until we return to school or the grading period has passed)
Grading Scale:
A+ 99% or more, A 98-94%, A- 93-90%, B+ 89-88%, B 87-84%, B- 83-80%, C+ 79-78%, C 77-74%, C- 73-70, D+ 69-68%, D 67-64%, D- 63-60%, F 59% or less.

Class Rules
- All students are expected to treat each other with respect. This includes waiting for your turn before speaking in class, only stating comments that are respectful of other students’ feelings and beliefs, and not claiming another person's work as your own.
- Be logged into the class Zoom by the start of class time
- Participate when appropriate and record your daily activities in the work log
- If you have questions, then send a Loop Mail message from the School Loop website to the teacher. If you are unable to do so then email the teacher at [email protected]
- Do not take photos or videos of the class presentations, other students, or the teacher
- Review announcements and agenda items on the class website every day
- Turn in assignments using School Loop by the due date to get full credit
